My story

Every day 250 people in the UK start to lose their sight. When that happens, we're here to make sure they don't lose their freedom as well.

Our services enable thousands of people with sight loss to lead confident, independent and fulfilling lives. As we rely on donations to continue our life-changing work, every cuppa and cake has the power to change lives by raising vital pounds and pennies.

Small or large, at home, work or school – every penny you raise will go towards helping provide life-changing services for people with sight loss.

On Fridays, Tom and I will be volunteering at Calke Abbey where Tom plays the piano overseen by Isla, withdrawn Guide Dogs Brood and Winter, Brood in waiting. We know first hand what a life changer a guide dog is for a person with visual impairment, and we want to take part in this fund raising initiative for Guide Dogs. I volunteer for just two organisations - National Trust and Guide Dogs. By doing this, I hope to combine our two passions.
